Jim Wilson is the CEO of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and manages all hospital operations. Prior to joining Lakewood Ranch, Jim served as CEO of Central Montgomery Medical Center in Pennsylvania. During his tenure there, he made considerable progress in improving operations, patient safety, physician and employee satisfaction, while also serving the area in charitable and community organizations.Wilson began his career nearly 25 years ago as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and later served as an auditor for both the Office of the Inspector General and for Medicare. After joining the Hospital Corporation of America's (HCA) East Florida Division and holding financial positions in Orlando and Tallahassee, Wilson served as Chief Financial Officer at Palms West Hospital in West Palm Beach and later became the CEO of Pottstown Memorial Hospital near Philadelphia.
Jim obtained his bachelor of science in accounting from Creighton University in Nebraska and his MHA from Regis University in Colorado. His wife Moira and children, Alexis and Brandon, enjoy living in the Lakewood Ranch community.
