Medical Surgical and Medical Telemetry Services at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center provide acute inpatient hospital services for patients. Lakewood Ranch Medical Center has:
- 41-Bed Medical Surgical Unit
- 37-Bed Medical Telemetry Unit
- 4-Bed Intermediate Care Unit
The Medical Surgical, Telemetry and Intermediate Care departments provide services to those patients who need nursing care while they are being treated for their illness. The majority of rooms at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center are single occupancy (private). The hospital even provides room service for patients' while they are in the facility.
The staff is comprised of registered nurses, patient care specialist, unit assistants and telemetry monitor technicians. This dynamic group of professionals is available to serve patients' needs 24 hours a day.
Services include all surgical patients that need post operative care, medical patients with:
- acute respiratory
- cardiac
- gastrointestinal
- genitourinary
- musculoskeletal
- neurological disorders
The Intermediate Care Unit provides the same services for patients who need a more intensive level of care.
