Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Breaks Ground on Cardiac Catheterization Lab Expansion
Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) celebrated a major milestone in expanding its cardiac care services with a groundbreaking event for the hospital’s expansion of its Cardiac Catheterization Lab. To mark the occasion, members of the Cath Lab team, interventional cardiologist Dr. Vivek Kumar, and hospital leadership gathered for a celebratory demolition — using gold hammers to symbolize breaking away from the old and ushering in the new.
The new Cath Lab will be equipped with the latest technology to diagnose and treat heart conditions with greater precision and efficiency, helping LWRMC meet the growing needs of the community. "As our community grows, so does our commitment to providing advanced, high-quality care close to home," said Rob J. Anderson, CEO of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. "This investment in a second Cath Lab ensures our patients have access to the newest technology and the highest level of cardiac care."
