You Can Make a Difference
Volunteers are an important part of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and they add a valued dimension to patient care. Lakewood Ranch Medical Center currently has more than 120 caring, dedicated individuals volunteering with us to help improve the quality of healthcare in our community, and we are very grateful for everything they do.
Volunteers are a special breed of people. They don’t do what they do for recognition, fame or fortune, nor do they expect anything in return for their time and efforts. They do what they do out of love and respect for humanity. Their payback is in the sense of fulfillment that comes from giving. Volunteers make the world around them a better place to live in. Volunteers are needed and appreciated at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. If you can give four hours a week, and commit to a minimum of six months of service, we welcome you to a variety of positions.

Our VolunTeen program runs for eight weeks each summer for teens ages 15-18. It provides participants an opportunity to volunteer in a hospital environment with the goal of learning more about the healthcare industry and themselves while helping others. VolunTeens are expected to commit to volunteering at least four hours a week for all eight weeks of the program.
If you are interested in applying for our VolunTeen program, please email Tami Caruso at Tami.Caruso@lwrmc.com. Applications for the VolunTeen program are mailed out at the first of the year.
