The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center emergency room (ER) medical team is highly experienced and skilled in managing health emergencies in adults, children and older adults. If you or your family needs ER care, we're here 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our ER includes major resuscitation rooms, private triage rooms and more. In addition to providing high quality emergency medical care for serious illnesses and injuries, our staff also treats minor injuries, such as cuts and bruises.

ER at Fruitville — Coming in 2020

ER at Fruitville will be a full-service emergency department located on the east side of Interstate 75 at 6760​ Fruitville Road, Sarasota, FL 34240. The facility is expected to open in late 2020.

Heart Attack Care

Lakewood Ranch has received the Mission: Lifeline® Gold Receiving Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks. The hospital has also been awarded Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) based on a rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

Lakewood Ranch's specially trained Stroke Alert Team can evaluate and treat stroke emergencies whenever they occur, day or night. The hospital has earned The Joint Commission's disease-specific certification as a Primary Stroke Center and has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
