The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Foundation (LWRMCF) is now accepting 2022 Nursing Scholarship applications. The Foundation’s Nursing Scholarship Program originated in 2019 and has continued to provide scholarships to students in college nursing programs at the undergraduate or graduate level who are affiliated with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.

Who can apply?

Students who are currently enrolled in an Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program while completing their clinical affiliation at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and nurses who are currently employed at the hospital and enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program, are encouraged to apply.

"The pandemic has highlighted how critical nurses are to our healthcare system," says Carole Cowan, President of the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Foundation. "We feel it’s more important than ever that we support individuals pursuing healthcare careers in nursing or are working toward advanced degrees in nursing. We are pleased that our fundraising efforts, the generosity of our community partners and the proceeds of The Jingle 5K Run/Walk, now in its tenth year, allow us to continue to award scholarships to students who are enrolled in nursing programs."

When does the scholarship application need to be submitted?

Interested applicants are encouraged to complete and submit the LWRMC Foundation Nursing Application by March 15, 2022. Scholarships will be awarded in April.
