Supporting the Health Needs of Local Residents
The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary works to support the health needs of the Lakewood Ranch area through volunteer activities. This includes fundraising to support scholarships for nursing and health career students, and working with designated local charities with similar missions.

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Nursing Scholarship
The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary announces the opening of the 2020 Scholarship Application period. Scholarships are available to students enrolled in college nursing programs who are doing their clinical affiliation at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. This year, the Auxiliary will be offering eight scholarship grants of $1,000 each, seven for students enrolled in BSN programs and one for a nurse who is enrolled in an MSN program.
Who can apply?
- Any nursing student who is currently participating in a clinical affiliation at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) and lives in Manatee or Sarasota County.
- Any nurse currently employed by LWRMC who is enrolled in a graduate program leading to a Master of Science Degree in Nursing (the Auxiliary will be adding one scholarship in this category this year).
What scholarships will be awarded?
- The LWRMCA will be granting a total of eight $1,000 scholarships, seven for students enrolled in BSN programs, and one for a nurse currently enrolled in an MSN program. The awards will be announced at the LWRMCA Volunteer Luncheon to be held on Friday, April 10, 2020.
When does the scholarship need to be submitted?
- Interested students are encouraged to complete the LWRMCA Nursing Scholarship application and submit it by March 10, 2020 to:
