Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Raises $2,000 for the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship Fund
On Thursday, June 18, 2020, Lakewood Ranch Community Activities (LWRCA) held a drive-by parade in honor of healthcare professionals to benefit the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship Fund. The parade raised $2,000, which will assist in funding two $1,000 scholarships for student nurses that work at LWRMC.
Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary President Carole Cowan stated, “With the support of our community partners, we will be able to support scholarships for our student nurses this year. Our combined efforts will ensure we have the healthcare workforce necessary to meet the future needs of our region.”
Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Executive Director Keith Pandeloglou added, “We’re so thankful to have such wonderful healthcare professionals right in our community at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and this is just one small way we can bring awareness to all that they’ve been doing to keep our community safe.”
