Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Named on Newsweek’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2022 List
Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) was one of only 350 hospitals in the United States recognized on Newsweek’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2022 list. This elite award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

LWRMC Women’s Center features labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum suites with unique amenities and technical advances. Specially trained NICU and obstetric nurses offer highly skilled, family-centered nursing. The Women’s Center is also the first in the area to offer a Birth Designer Program that allows expectant mothers to personalize their birthing experience and preferences.
Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is also recognized as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Maternity Care as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program, was named a CMS 5-Star Hospital in 2021 and is a Leapfrog Top General Hospital for Outstanding Quality and Safety, 2021.
